The Good News and the People Making it Happen
May always feels like both a beginning and an end — graduates look forward to all the new experiences while feeling a bit sad for the end of the familiar.
The rest of us are looking at the bright beginning of the summer season and while the days are longer and brighter, they also get hectic and added tasks like yard work start back up.
One thing publishing Premiere does is to make me focus on the processes in our lives. The months go by so fast even if some of the days seem a month long. We work so far ahead of the calendar that the year seems to fly by. As we put this May issue in the racks – our writers are already getting us June stories and pictures and we are contacting July features and event planners. Before we know it we will be planning the holidays again.
But all that makes me appreciate the “ingredients” that make up our community. When we started Premiere in 2007, I was told I would run out of good news – this community has proven that wrong as we have a difficult time choosing which good news stories we publish and how we can possibly leave others out. The story space is determined by the advertisers’ support and for all that support we are thankful!
This edition is one of the two biggest as we publish the list of Jonesboro Premiere winners, and the Paragould winners will be in the July edition. If you are in the market for goods or services in NEA, please refer to this list and take our readers’ advice by shopping with the “Premiere” whatever category you are looking for. And please tell them you found them through the Premiere Award list --- the more advertisers, the more “Good News and the People Making it Happen.”
